The mystery part though, seemed pretty contrived. But that happened with the only Inspector Ghote book I tried reading too - so the less than thrilling whodunit (who-almost-dunit, actually!) portion was probably not M-I'sbollyviewerhttp://bollyviewer-oldisgold.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3198562188041424715.post-79540520010554127082010-09-28T06:33:01.788-07:002010-09-28T06:33:01.788-07:00@Netdhaba: Amjad Khan would so much be better off ...@Netdhaba: Amjad Khan would so much be better off if he stuck to these kind of films. Watch Chameli Ki Shaadi if you want to see another funny side of him. He actually makes the movie groove. In this one he is crazily funny with his rhyming words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The dialogue is sparkling, acing brilliant --- not surprisingly, with all the masters in it --- and the camera captures my beloved Bombay in its elements. And oh, Amjad Khan, the actor, so wasted in B-town films, shows what he can do if allowed toAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3198562188041424715.post-49545013770449930682010-09-27T11:29:54.503-07:002010-09-27T11:29:54.503-07:00M-I are always a bit hit or miss (mostly miss!) fo...M-I are always a bit hit or miss (mostly miss!) for me, particularly as they always seem to treat every subject matter in a slow-paced, artsy and (for me) very boring fashion. I had high hopes of The Deceivers - Shashi Kapoor + Pierce Brosnan in a thriller! How could it possibly go wrong? I found out - to the tune of Rs. 699! :( But I do love Nasseeruddin Shah and wouldn't mind bollyviewerhttp://bollyviewer-oldisgold.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3198562188041424715.post-58501345200328729362010-09-25T02:23:19.661-07:002010-09-25T02:23:19.661-07:00@Bollywooddeewana: I've recently started watch...@Bollywooddeewana: I've recently started watched merchant ivory films and i feel they grow on you. but i do find all these hindi actors speaking in english in very indian setups a bit out of place.
